Parts of your trek through the rainforest will take you along the clear waters of the Bohorok River, passing memorable scenic viewpoints over the valley. Here you may encounter gibbons (white-handed and black), Thomas leaf monkeys, pigtail macaques, flying squirrels, Sumatran peacocks, hornbills, monitor lizards and wild Sumatran Orangutan.
